Source and Use of Funds
Financial information covers the period 2010 - 2025:
$1,974,500 received - 44% via direct contributions / 49% via annual fund-raising events (Lakeshore Harvest Ride and Toast to the Blue Star Trail).
$988,600 expended – 81% direct to Trail engineering and construction (our all-volunteer Board reduces administrative expenses).
$986,000 on hand – Portion reserved to fund Friends’ local match commitments in support of TAP and DNR grants that have been conditionally approved or remain under review. These commitments will help fund engineering and construction of Trail segments located in Saugatuck Township, Saugatuck City, Douglas and South Haven. The remaining balance available to cover possible project cost overruns, and development of conceptual plans, engineering and construction of future Trail segments.
